Saganode MCP Integrations
Put narrative context where the work happens
Stories rarely stay in one application. A team may develop a world in Saganode, investigate it with an AI assistant, generate media with specialist tools, and finish the work in an editing environment. Each step needs the right context—but that context should not become trapped in a prompt or copied into a disconnected project file.
Saganode connects to MCP-compatible workflows so selected narrative context and production knowledge can be available where a team is already working. The story system remains the durable reference; external tools use the context to help with the next task.
A shared reference, not another prompt silo
MCP makes it possible to bring relevant Saganode knowledge into supported AI and creative workflows. Depending on the task, that can include:
- the active Universe, Saga, Story, or Storyboard context;
- connected elements such as characters, places, events, and props;
- relationships, chronology, and continuity-sensitive story state;
- visual references, assets, and the intent behind a Sequence Plan;
- production knowledge that helps a collaborator understand what a scene is for.
This does not turn an external tool into the source of truth. It gives the tool a clearer brief, while the reviewed story system remains legible in Saganode.
Keep the system stable while tools evolve
Models, image generators, video tools, and creative applications will change. Their strengths should be available to the production without forcing a team to rebuild its world every time the stack changes.
Saganode acts as the narrative backplane: the connected layer that preserves meaning, decisions, and reusable context across the production stack. A creator can choose the right execution tool for a task and still trace the work back to the character, event, visual direction, and sequence it belongs to.
A practical workflow
- Build and review the narrative foundation in Saganode.
- Select the story context, elements, or production knowledge relevant to the next task.
- Use that context in an MCP-compatible workflow for exploration, analysis, or creative execution.
- Bring the useful result back into the connected production record and review it in context.
The goal is not to automate authorship. It is to prevent the creative system from fragmenting as more tools and collaborators join the work.
